June is Pride Month and Greater Napanee and the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte committees are gearing up to kick off the month early with celebrations in the region.

Young photographers ages 7–18 submitted incredible images showcasing people, places, and experiences across the Bay of Quinte region, highlighting the creativity and unique perspectives of local youth.

Creativity often grows in small communities, where inspiration comes from the people around you and the landscapes just outside your door. For Greater Napanee artist Lisa Ray Koenig, the region’s slower pace and welcoming arts scene helped turn a casual hobby into a growing creative career.

Artist Pat Dubyk started the PEC Barn Quilt Trail in 2013 and has since relocated to Greater Napanee, where she’s starting another trail of these bold, colourful art pieces.

The third route in our series is The Waterways Ride in Greater Napanee. It’s a ride with a few hills that are worth it for the views over the Napanee river, Hay Bay and rolling countryside.
