    Join us this summer for great live music and entertainment on the waterfront at the Lion’s Pavilion in West Zwick’s Park on Wednesday and Sunday evenings - starting at 6:30pm in June and July, and 6:00pm in August.

    For more than 30 years, The Belleville Lions Club has hosted this annual concert series as one of its community service projects. And year after year, the Lions have been rewarded with the public’s overwhelming support at the concerts.

    Don’t forget to bring your lawn chair! The admission is free! And if you enjoy the program, we invite you to support the Belleville Lions Club with your donations which will support other services to our local community.

    Play Time: Toys and Amusements From the Past

    Glanmore National Historic Site 257 Bridge Street East, Belleville

    Glanmore is also offering a new children’s program throughout the summer. Play Time: Toys and Amusements from the Past, will take place on Monday, July 21 and Monday, August 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. This program invites children age 6+ and an adult accompanying them to enjoy an afternoon playing and learning about toys and games from the past while making a simple toy to take home. The cost to participate is $3.50 per child. Pre-registration is required at Glanmore.ca.

    Bridging Communities – Crochet Circle with artist/educator Emebet Belete
    Emebet’s current art project is Bridging Communities, a large-scale art installation where community members will create crochet, and cover the downtown Front Street Bridge in stripes, blocks and patterns! Over the past year, she has taught and involved students in six area schools in the art of crochet.

    Open for youth and adults, experienced and beginners, individuals, families and friends!

    How You Can Get Involved:
    Crochet a piece (or more!) for the bridge.
    Join the organizing committee to help steer the project.
    Teach others to crochet and share your skills.
    Help distribute crocheting materials to participants.
    Collaborate with your group or organization to crochet pieces.
    Form a crochet group with friends or partners.
    Sponsor a pillar to support the project financially.
    Donate yarn to ensure we have enough materials.
    Contribute to the GoFundMe to help cover project costs.

The Bay of Quinte RMB Land Acknowledgement

The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is committed to acknowledging, appreciating and understanding the Indigenous peoples’ historic connection to this land and to raising awareness by building relationships in collaboration with Indigenous partners and communities. 

We recognize and acknowledge that we are living and working on the traditional territory of the Wendat, Mississauga, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee which includes the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) with whom we work in direct partnership with. 

This partnership focuses on the common goal of celebrating the region with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka who are equal partners within the organization and at the Board of Directors table contributing to the mandate and operations.

This mandate includes listening to, learning from, and collaborating with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka and actively incorporating their culture and heritage into the practice of responsible destination marketing and management of the region.

We understand that this land acknowledgement is only a small step towards the larger process of reparations and reconciliation.
