SO YOU’RE REALLY INTO TRAVEL, EH?
HOW DOES HAPPILY EVER AFTER SOUND?
Fresh air, open water and plenty of ways to explore. Discover outdoor things to do in the Bay of Quinte, from hikes and trails to cycling, beaches, boating, golf, fishing and camping.
Find an adventure that fits your pace, then start planning your getaway.
SO MUCH NATURE. SO FEW EXCUSES TO STAY INSIDE!
Take a hike. Literally. Wander through forests, conservation areas, provincial parks, and along waterfront trails where a good view is pretty much everywhere you look.
Paddle the shoreline, cast a line, launch a boat, take a swim, or find your perfect spot on the beach.
Bring your game face. Tee off, serve it up, throw some discs, or find your next excuse to keep score. Around here, friendly competition is always in season.
Follow country roads, waterfront paths, rail trails, and gravel backroads through rolling farmland, quiet communities, and some seriously scenic corners of the Bay.
Chase hidden caches, camp under the stars, take the kids somewhere new, or simply see where the road takes you.
HELPFUL RESOURCES AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
Everything you need to turn inspiration into a Bay of Quinte getaway.
Let’s see what we got!
The Bay of Quinte RMB Land Acknowledgement
The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is committed to acknowledging, appreciating and understanding the Indigenous Peoples’ historic connection to this land and to raising awareness by building relationships in collaboration with Indigenous partners and communities.
We recognize and acknowledge that we are living and working on the traditional territory of the Wendat, Mississaugas, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee which includes the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) with whom we work in direct partnership with.
This partnership focuses on the common goal of celebrating the region with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka who are equal partners within the organization and at the Board of Directors table contributing to the mandate and operations.
This mandate includes listening to, learning from, and collaborating with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka and actively incorporating their culture and heritage into the practice of responsible destination marketing and management of the region.
We understand that this land acknowledgement is only a small step towards the larger process of reparations and reconciliation.
