RIDE AND REWARD
CYCLING THROUGH THE BoQ
Welcome to Ride & Reward, a new Bay of Quinte series where I share my cycling adventures around the region. My name is Allison and when I first moved to the region I didn’t have a car or a driver’s licence. For over two years I got around by bike, discovering Belleville and beyond. Join me as I share my favourite routes (and rewards!) and discover some new ones too. You don’t need to be an experienced cyclist or have a fancy bike to try out these routes.

BELLEVILLE:
THE CITY RIDE
This ride starts and ends in Belleville’s Old East Hill with a tour around the paved trails along the Bay of Quinte and Moira River and a stop for treats at Small Scale Bread.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Allison Nichol Longtin
My name is Allison and I’m a writer, educator, and dance artist. I’ve called Toronto, Montreal, Geneva, and Zurich home over the years, but put down roots in Belleville in October 2020. I love exploring my new surroundings by bicycle, meeting people in the community, and learning about all the Bay of Quinte region has to offer. I teach dance to students of all ages at the Quinte Ballet School of Canada and with the Prince Edward County Arts Council, of which I’m also a member.
