The Batawa Lions Easter Egg hunt is returning this year on Saturday April 19th from 9am to 12 noon. Through the Combined efforts of the Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC), the Batawa Development Corporation (BDC) and the Batawa Lions Club, this event will be great for all members of the family. Featuring an Easter Egg hunt, a pancake breakfast, face painting, a petting zoo, balloon animals, as well as displays by Quinte West Firefighters and Police, there is great entertainment available for all ages! The Junior Hunt (1-5 years) starts at 10:30am and the Senior Hunt (6-12 years) is at 11:15am. The hunt itself is limited to 700 kids, so be sure to arrive early as supplies are limited.

Help make the Quinte area cleaner during the 25th annual Quinte Trash Bash on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Belleville, Prince Edward County, Quinte West and Tyendinaga Township. Quinte Trash Bash is a community-wide spring cleanup that brings people together to clean up roadsides, parks and other public spaces across the Quinte region. The event, happening at the end of Earth Week, aims to create a cleaner, healthier environment. Each participating community will provide supplies in advance and on the day of the event. Visit quintetrashbash.ca for more information on supply kit pick-up and garbage drop-off locations. Learn more about Quinte Trash Bash and how to participate at www.quintetrashbash.ca. Please stop in during the month of May to experience this colourful and surprising 'Artistic Vinyl' Classic Rock Retrospective exhibit by the talented Des Rodrigues. Opening Night May 2 from 6-9pm. Recognizing a love and talent in drawing at an early age, Des pursued post secondary education at the Ontario College of Arts. His love of music interrupted his art studies as he honed his chops as a musician and played in multiple bands throughout the 80's. These two passions eventually combined with his growing environmentalism, led to the creation of musical artistic pieces. He creates unique, hand painted acrylic works of art, portraying musicians and bands on their original unplayable vinyl LPs. His current collection contains over 650 albums, spanning all musical genres. Cash bar and bistro available.
