Join Belleville Public Library for a visit with one of Canada’s most prolific and varied crime writers, Vicki Delany. Vicki Delany has written more than 50 books including cozy mysteries, Gothic thrillers, police procedurals, historical fiction, and adult literacy novellas. She has recently written four cozy books in a mystery series: Tea by the Sea, Sherlock Holmes Bookshop, Catskill Resort, and Lighthouse Library (as Eva Gates). A past president of Crime Writers of Canada and co-founder of the Women Killing It Crime Writing Festival, her work has been nominated for several major awards. The 4th Annual Quinte Field Naturalist Plant Sale is back, so mark your calendars for Saturday May 16th , 8 am to noon at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Parking Lot, Belleville ( Corner of Victoria and Herchimer Avenues). This annual event offers a wide variety of plants: perennials, annuals, native plants, ornamentals, winter hardy cacti, vegetables, garden art and tools! A master gardener will be available for consultation. Every penny raised helps us to plant native trees, shrubs and flowers in Belleville parks and the surrounding Quinte region. To date we have planted over 500 trees, 770 shrubs and 3100 flowers to make a real difference for nature and the people of Belleville.
