A plethora of museums including the Lennox and Addington County Archives, The Allan McPherson House and the United Empire Loyalist Heritage Centre and Park are all extremely well-maintained and brilliantly showcase the rich local culture and heritage.
OLD HAY BAY CHURCH
The Old Hay Bay Church in particular is a jewel that should not be missed. Originally built in 1792, it was the first Methodist chapel in Upper Canada. It currently houses a museum, holds regular services and its grounds offer beautiful views of the Bay of Quinte.

While taking in the natural beauty and history of Greater Napanee, you will inevitably be drawn to the historic Central Business District. Greater Napanee has a small town feel with top-notch restaurants, trendy boutiques and shops offering many locally made goods. You should definitely reserve a portion of your trip to explore Dundas Street West. Two businesses that must be highlighted are The Waterfront River Pub and Terrace, serving Canadian pub meals and leading-edge cuisine; and Len’s Bakery, which never fails to provide amazing fresh baked goods.
