Wavy is an Indigenous-owned and operated shop and cafe that specializes in wellness and skate products. They offer a fun selection of eco-friendly products and locally-made gifts, plus lots of boards and accessories for skateboard enthusiasts. Trust us when we say not to leave without trying a drink from their holiday menu.

Bazaar Artisan Market is your stop for all things local artisan! This shop is packed with local products; take your pick of candles, jewellery, dog accessories, clothing, artwork—you name it. All artisans receive 100% of the revenue on their products.

The County Emporium is a treasure trove of products that update seasonally. Head there with your besties and sip on a glass of wine, browse the latest Smash & Tess, Tofino Towels and huge selection of Yeti. They also have a kids section, food and drink products and body care.

Lighthouse Books is your local shop for all book gifting needs. They are a small but mighty shop, carrying a good selection of new releases, kids’ books and Canadian authors. The staff are super helpful and happy to order in any book they don’t currently have in stock.

The Bay of Quinte RMB Land Acknowledgement

The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is committed to acknowledging, appreciating and understanding the Indigenous peoples’ historic connection to this land and to raising awareness by building relationships in collaboration with Indigenous partners and communities. 

We recognize and acknowledge that we are living and working on the traditional territory of the Wendat, Mississauga, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee which includes the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) with whom we work in direct partnership with. 

This partnership focuses on the common goal of celebrating the region with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka who are equal partners within the organization and at the Board of Directors table contributing to the mandate and operations.

This mandate includes listening to, learning from, and collaborating with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka and actively incorporating their culture and heritage into the practice of responsible destination marketing and management of the region.

We understand that this land acknowledgement is only a small step towards the larger process of reparations and reconciliation.
