The Bay of Quinte region has become Ontario’s most sought after golf destination. It’s no wonder, with 14 courses, including Black Bear Ridge, one of Score Golf’s Top 100 Courses in Canada, and Trillium Wood, part of the Golfer’s Choice list of top hidden gems.
Napanee has a diverse and delicious roster of foodie spots that are well worth the trip, plus there’s no shortage of stuff to do in between indulging in these lovely eats.
The Counter Restaurant’s After Hours Series features a farm-to-table, multiple-course meal with seasonal ingredients.
I recently got out on the Bay of Quinte for a bass fishing adventure out of Quinte West. The Bay of Quinte is one of my personal favourite destinations for targeting bass, and I know I share this sentiment with many other anglers. It’s a popular destination for not only recreational anglers but many bass fishing tournaments also take place on this body of water each season. There have been changes to the bass fishing regulations here in recent years (including the addition of an early catch and release season as well as changes to the regular season), so be sure to check out the latest Ontario Fishing Regulations Summary before planning a trip.
Up the Trent, Over the Oaks bike route is a balance of spicy elevation and low-key Ontario rail trail, with plenty of opportunities to detour for ice cream in Quinte West.
The Ridge 2 Ridge bike route in Belleville is perfect for peak fall rides, serving up the best vistas in the area.
This route is full of scenic views and also has no shortage of businesses for stops along the way, making for a perfect autumn adventure.
