The urban centre is surrounded by a rural tapestry of century homes and country churches. Traverse along the Trent at Riverfront Square, where you’ll enjoy locally sourced dining with a waterfront view. Step outside the city limits and you’ll be met with farm stands, antiques, and winding drives. To the east, hiking and cycling trails delve through the wooded ridges and sloping meadows of the Oak Hills, while north, roads and water lead past locks, to Batawa, Frankford and beyond.
