Make Your Mother’s Day Market

Venue 1906, Belleville – May 13

Side Hustle Market is back with another Mother’s Day artisan market, featuring over 30 vendors and a free photo booth.

Quinte West Fest

Frankford Tourist Park, Quinte West – May 20

Quinte West Fest kicks off a summer of 25th anniversary celebrations in Quinte West beginning on the Victoria Day weekend. Celebrations will include kids activities, food vendors and an evening concert with Moonsugar followed by fireworks then an outdoor movie.

Mohawk Landing Ceremony

Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory – May 21

Join the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte for a reenactment of the 1784 landing of the Mohawks along the shores of the Bay of Quinte, including the paddle-in which will see members of the community will arrive by canoe. Learn more about the history behind it on our blog.

Discover Belleville is gearing up for another Family FUNfest with lots of interactive displays, entertainers, arts and crafts and attractions. And the best part? Just about everything is free!

Visit a Farmers’ Market

Around the region

Farmers’ Markets are returning! While the Belleville Farmers’ Market is open year-round, the Front Street Farmers’ Market reopens on May 6 and the Codrington Farmers’ Market reopens on May 7. Check them out for locally-grown produce, fresh flowers, baked goods and artisan products.

Toymaker Time Machine

Glanmore National Historic Site, Belleville

Toymaker Time Machine is a behind-the-scenes experience at Belleville’s own National Historic Site. Be a museum-maker and develop some light carpentry skills as you re-create a piece of the past, a historic wooden game to take home.

Belleville Downtown District – All month long

Breakout Belleville Escape Room and Axe Throwing is offering two games for $35/per person this month.

Park it at Presqu’ile

Brighton

Get some early beach days in at Presqu’ile Provincial Park before the summer crowd picks up. Even if the water is cold, May is a great time to pack a picnic and enjoy the views. If you prefer to be more active, explore their 16 km network of trails and paths.
