Summer has arrived and it’s time to grab your sunscreen and get outside to explore what’s happening in the region this month! We’ve got the list all set for you.

Pop by the Pop-ups

Belleville and Quinte West

Belleville’s Pop-ups on the Bay return to West Zwick’s Park for their fifth season of summer fun with food vendors, micro golf and watersport rentals. Heading west along the bay, the Quinte West Pop-ups are open for their third season, featuring eight wood cabins and food trucks overlooking the Trent River in Centennial Park.

Kinsmen Carnival

Centennial Park, Quinte West – June 1-4

Get ready to be amused at the Trenton Kinsmen Club Carnival with rides, snacks and games where you can test your skills and impress your friends.

Summer Short Play Festival

Theatre in the Wings, Downtown Belleville – June through August

Theatre in the Wings is hosting its First Annual Summer Short Play Festival, beginning in June with plays in July and August as well. They’re putting on sixteen short plays by local writers and award-winning plays from all over.

Got Land? Dinner & Comedy Show

Mohawk Community Centre, Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory – June 2

Start off the month with a laugh by headliner Denise B McLeod, featuring Chris Lapointe and Janelle Niles, hosted by Jenn Hayward at the Mohawk Community Centre. Click here for more Tyendinaga PRIDE events happening that weekend.  

Pride in the Country

Strathcona Paper Centre, Greater Napanee – June 3

Pride in the Country is back with an All Ages show at 5:30pm, and a 19+ Drag Show and Dance Party at 8pm. Tickets are available online for both shows, and you can also get tickets to the Meet & Greet with the Drag performers. Check out greaternapaneepride.ca for all Greater Napanee Pride events.

Bay of Quinte Pride

Belleville and Quinte West, beginning June 4

The Bay of Quinte Pride Committee is hosting several Pride Month events from June 4 to 19, including the Pride parade and Pride in the Park on June 10. Follow their Facebook page for event updates.

Downtown Trenton’s First Spiritual Event

Downtown Trenton, Quinte West – June 3

This magical evening organized by Angelic Serendipity will feature astrologists, psychic mediums, tarot readers, apothecaries and crystal jewellery makers.

The Addams Family

Pinnacle Playhouse, Downtown Belleville – June 1-18

The Addams Family play by the Belleville Theatre Guild will be a must-see this month! Check out the musical and enjoy the dark and dreary family in a new way.

The Mavericks

Empire Theatre, Downtown Belleville – June 6

Come check out the eclectic rock and country group for a night of memorable live music at The Empire Theatre.

Quinte Ribfest

Centennial Park, Quinte West – June 16-18

Quinte Ribfest is back this month in Quinte West and we’ve got our bibs and wet wipes ready! Grab some ribs from world-class vendors, enjoy a drink in the licensed beverage garden and catch live entertainment throughout the weekend.

Free Family Fishing

Province-wide, June 17-18

Four times a year, Canadian residents can fish for free in Ontario – meaning you can do it without a license. Take advantage and cast a line on Father’s Day Weekend!

Toymaker Time Machine

Glanmore National Historic Site, Belleville – June 17

Toymaker Time Machine is a behind-the-scenes experience at Belleville’s own National Historic Site. Be a museum-maker and develop some light carpentry skills as you re-create a piece of the past, a historic wooden game to take home.

Indigenous Peoples Day

275 Bayshore Road, Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory – June 21

Tsi Tyónnheht Onkwawén:na is hosting its annual Indigenous Peoples Day celebration from 10-3 in Tsi Tkerhetoten Park on June 21 with a parade, live entertainment, food, games and canoe races. All are welcome to attend. 

Downtown at Dusk

Belleville Downtown District – June 23

Head to the Belleville Downtown District from 4-10 pm for a fun-filled evening featuring street performers, artisan vendors, top-notch entertainment, and delicious food.

Roll Like Bocce, Score Like Golf

Black Bear Ridge Golf & Resort, Belleville – Open Daily

Bocce meets mini put this summer at the region’s first-ever Bocce Golf course at Black Bear Ridge. It’s open daily from sun up to sun down and makes a perfect activity for families or date nights.
