With summer in full swing, and more concert venues starting to open up in the Bay of Quinte area, you’re probably wondering where you can find some live music. Well, look no further my friends! Below you’ll find the best spots to get your live music fix.
(Hey, BoQ: don’t forget to keep up the physical distancing and hygiene measures as outlined by HPE Public Health as you check out the local music scene.)
The Pier Patio Bar and Grill
Located on Meyers Pier, The Pier Patio Bar and Grill is a fantastic local spot to enjoy live music and great food. The Pier Patio has a list of delicious cocktails like frozen margaritas and refreshing daiquiris, and several mouthwatering burgers made with local Enright Cattle Co. beef. Watch the boats come and go during the afternoon, or catch a beautiful sunset over the Bay of Quinte, all while taking in some live music every Friday and Saturday!
Music in the Air Fridays in Downtown Belleville
Music in the Air Fridays is a part of Downtown Belleville’s Al Fresco Activities. Every Friday night you can take in live music at Gourmet Diem, Sans Souci, Capers or find musicians playing on the street. Enjoy an ice cream, cocktail or meal at one of the three restaurant patios with live music, or stroll down Front Street and find a parklet to enjoy the entertainment. Check out the lineups by visiting each restaurant’s website!

Old Church Theatre
Just north of Highway 401 in Quinte West, off Johnstown Rd, you’ll find the Old Church Theatre. Housed in a renovated rural church that was built in 1876, the Old Church Theatre has a full line up of live music and alternative theatre productions. This unique venue offers licensed outdoor seating, wood-fired pizza, and a full drink menu with local offerings such as Wild Card Brewing Co beer and wines from Karlo Estates, Sandbanks Winery and Huff Estates. Visit their website to check out their calendar of events and to reserve a table!
Concerts on the Bay
Concerts on the Bay is a series of live concerts all summer long with a wide range of artists and genres. It’s a summer tradition in the Belleville community and the Belleville Lions Club has sponsored the concert series for over 20 years.
This year, COVID-19 has forced the Concerts on the Bay to re-imagine how they put on their concerts. Thankfully, with the help of Cogeco YourTV Belleville, the shows live on! Cogeco YourTV Belleville has partnered with the Lions Club to film the entertainment scheduled for this summer’s Concerts on the Bay series and broadcast them on Wednesday & Sunday evenings starting at 6 pm on Cogeco Channel 4/700 (Belleville YourTV). If you are not a Cogeco subscriber, check the YourTV Belleville YouTube channel at 6 pm. Check out the Belleville Lions Club website to find the concert schedule!
