Toymaker Time Machine Experience at Glanmore

Glanmore National Historic Site 257 Bridge Street East, Belleville

Toymaker Time Machine is a behind-the-scenes experience at Belleville’s own National Historic Site! Be a museum-maker and develop some light carpentry skills as you re-create a piece of the past, an historic wooden game to take home. We at Glanmore have always believed in the power of historical objects to tell stories and to connect people to moments in the past.  Bring your small group and join Museum Maker Dave Cox for a unique behind-the-scenes experience.  See how the museum works, learn through play and make a reproduction of a classic wooden game to take home. This could become an heirloom for future generations! Roll up your sleeves and get your hands on history.  Play with and learn about historic toys and games, some you’ve never laid eyes on before!  Enjoy light refreshments from one of our neighbourhood’s favourite cafés.*  Small group bookings available. *Please advise if you have mobility or dietary requirements (email: [email protected] or phone: 613-962-2329 ext. 3653)

Visa Infinite Dining Series – Closson Chase Vineyards

Closson Chase Vineyards 629, Hillier

This Summer we’re sharing the most deliciously sun-ripened flavours of the season with an irresistible collection of special chef-curated dining experiences, and we also travel to wine country for a taste of life amid the vines. From long-table dinners at stunning winery restaurants, to garden parties in the city, and a new prix fixe tasting-style menu to explore, we have a mouthwatering array of experiences ready for you this season. Celebrated Chefs Suzanne Barr and Charlotte Langley headline an all-star lineup of chefs and producers at a Wine Country long table dinner set amongst the vines in historic Prince Edward County. Just returning from her North American cookbook tour, Chef Barr will join sustainable seafood advocate Langley as well as Chef Jamie Kennedy, Zach and Luhana Littlejohn of Littlejohn Farm, Chef Stuart Cameron from Bocado, and others at beautiful Closson Chase Vineyards. Under a large tent on the winery property, guests will enjoy a collaborative feast of all the freshest PEC ingredients, along with pairings of wine from Closson Chase’s winemaker, Keith Tyers and their county friends. Each couple will also receive a signed copy of Chef Barr’s new book, My Ackee Tree, to take home.
