Put your hand up if you have a pelvis... Put your hand up if you have a pelvic floor... That’s right, we ALL have pelvic floor muscles that are located at the base of our pelvis. When the pelvic floor muscles are not working quite right, we can experience many different physical symptoms that are very common and can be very debilitating. From low back and hip pain to urinary leakage, painful intercourse and pelvic organ prolapse, these can all be improved by finding more connection with your pelvic floor, core and breath. The Yoga for Pelvic Health practice is focused on finding optimal posture and movement of the pelvis, hip joints and low back as well as the involvement of the pelvic floor and diaphragm as core stabilizer muscles. This allows us to find a balance of strength, stability and mobility of the pelvis, hips and low back for a life time of improved comfort and function in our every day lives.
