Wen-Do is coming to Belleville, ON! In partnership with the Children’s Safety Village and the Digital Empowerment Project, a Wen-Do Basic Self-Defense course is being offered at a subsidized rate. NOTE – SPACE IS LIMITED

You’ll learn: practical strikes, blocks, and releases; effective responses to harassment, threatening situations outdoors, on public transit, private vehicles, at home, work, and school; and strategies for dealing with attackers with weapons, ground and bed attacks, and gang and swarming situations.
Wen-Do is a registered charity and the oldest self-defense organization in Canada taught by women, for women. This 15-hour basic course covers a wide variety of physical and verbal self-defense techniques, awareness and avoidance of threatening situations, and discussions of psychological, social, and legal issues involved in self-defense through a feminist, anti-oppression lens. The course is open to transgender women and women and girls (ages 10+) of all abilities.
