“[Pat Maloney’s] music is soulful, honest, hilarious and smart” – Fingers on Blast, 2015
Pat Maloney went out on a limb. He put in his notice, hopped in the car and did it.
Root Rot and Repotting, two full-length recordings, and a two-part series, describe a transition from village to town to city. From school and working world to creative freedom. Both records are sold out of the first run, planted with care all over Canada and The United Kingdom.
Followers know to love Pat’s handcrafted stop-motion animated music videos. Whether he uses chalk, or felt, or a house-plant leaf, the videos are entertaining examples of some very quirky, DIY film-making.
RIGHTHERE is Pat’s first fully acoustic, live-in-studio album. Set for release in June 2016, digitally on the Be One Music label. The record is an honest representation of his live show, featuring songs about touring in England’s rugged midlands, his travels across Canada and his life in Toronto.
Pat Maloney is the 2015 winner of The Canadian Organization of Campus Activities’ (COCA) “Singer-Songwriter of the Year”.
