The world’s deadliest influenza pandemic, known as the Spanish Flu, swept across Canada and the World between 1918-1919. With no effective vaccine or treatment, the virus infected Canadians at an alarming rate, resulting in approximately 55,000 deaths.

Local artifacts, newspaper reports and photographs will show how Belleville and the Quinte region were affected.
Pandemic will be on display at Glanmore National Historic Site in Belleville, from August 9 to September 29, 2019.
An exhibit opening reception will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, all are welcome to attend.
