Hosted by the Loyalist College Summer Arts Program 2019. The colour, quality, and direction of light illuminating a subject or scene determine the colours, values, shadow patterns and mood in a painting. Together, we will explore various impressionistic watercolour techniques to render scenes in a hazy mist, in the warm glow of sunset, in electric night lights, under the shimmer of the northern lights and with backlighting.
July 8 – 12th, from 9 am to 4 pm. All levels are welcome.
Level: Beginner and intermediate. Some experience with watercolour paint is required.
