This summer, thousands of military families are on the move, and you’re invited! Join us for On the Move, sponsored by BMO, from June 19 – July 17.

This virtual event is all about challenging yourself, supporting the community and getting on the move! Did we mention that there’s over $1,500 in prizes to be won? Whether you sign up for the 2km, 5km, 10km or half-marathon, we just hope you rise to the challenge! You may choose to walk, jog, run or bike because YOU get to choose when, where and how you participate.

This event is open for anyone to join! Once registered, you will receive your very own “posting message” and begin your journey across the country! It will be up to you to help your assigned virtual family overcome the various challenges they face while on their journey. These families are not real, but the challenges you will complete are very much inspired by the real-life stories of the 8 Wing/CFB Trenton community!

Seventy-five per cent of your $60 registration is donated directly to the Trenton MFRC to support the access and availability of programs and services for 4,400 military members and 7,500 dependants living in your community! These include things such as deployment and separation, childcare, youth resiliency and mental health services. You will also receive a charitable tax receipt, a limited edition On the Move event medal, and a digital finisher’s certificate with your registration!

However, raising money does not end there.

Now more than ever, the Trenton MFRC needs the generous support from our community to help us meet the unique needs of our families. It’s true what they say, every dollar makes a difference.

Participants who fundraise the most will receive one of three grand prizes worth over $1,500! These include items such as a: 12-ft trampoline, Ontario Parks pass, golf and dinner package, Fitbit, family photo session and more!
