Live at Signal Brewing Company Morgan Davis.
For Decades Morgan Davis Juno Award-Winner, 7 Maples Blues Awards, 2 Toronto Blues Society Awards, 2 Jazz Report Awards has been on the road travelling across Canada, the United States and Europe.
His performances draw from a rich tradition of country blues, as well as his own contemporary songs infused with wit and a large dose of humour.
As a journeyman in the blues, he sought every opportunity to seek out the masters of the blues, and was fortunate to learn directly from Muddy Waters, Howlin’Wolf, Johnny Shines, and many more bluesmen who are now gone.
Over the years Davis has opened for blues legends Willie Dixon, John Lee Hooker, Albert King, John Hammond, Albert Collins, and Eric Bibb. He has performed with Sunnyland Slim, Snooky Pryor, Hubert Sumlin, James Cotton, David Wilcox, Colin Linden, and Dr John.
His original musical composition, the song “Why’d You Lie?” was a hit for Colin James on his first release in 1988. He often plays it to close his shows to this day
