Join us for Taco Tuesday at Chilangos (Belleville) and find out which books are inspiring local boss girls this month!
It’s time to TACO BOUT BOOKS, boss girls!
Based on the delicious feedback we received from last month’s “Read + Feed” Book Club event, we’ve decided to keep a good thing going.
So we’re excited to announce our second book club event will take place at Chilangos Mexican Restaurant on Tuesday, March 26th from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
For those who weren’t able to make it to our first book club, you can expect fun, conversation, great food and hopefully even a new business contact or two!
PLUS you’ll be able to get the scoop on what’s coming up for April’s Hello Boss Girl meet-up before it’s announced anywhere else!
Also based on feedback from last month’s event, book club is free but we are asking our boss girl attendees to donate to a food-related cause.
This month’s charity is Meals on Wheels (offered through Community Care for South Hastings).
Unlike last month, we are not going to ask you to bring cash to the event itself; instead, we are asking attendees to claim their $12 ticket through Eventbrite and $10 for each ticket purchased (the amount remaining after Eventbrite takes its fees) will be donated to Meals on Wheels.
Awesome, right? Also this means if you can’t make it at the last minute, the charity still benefits. Yay!
Drinks and meals may also be purchased at your own cost.
Another aspect of our book club that women told us they enjoyed last month was the “select your own book” approach. This month, we’re asking you to read and bring along a book about a topic you’re passionate about. Ideally this topic would be related to your area of business, although it could also be a topic that inspires your business indirectly.
Please note that once again, SPACE IS LIMITED! You will require a ticket to enter the event, so please be prepared to show your ticket at the door.
Have questions? Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope to see you at Taco Tuesday, boss girls!
