Furball’s Choice and Creekside Yoga Presents Goat Yoga!

We ‘herd’ you and we’ve listened. Our second round of goat yoga class will be held by Furball’s Choice 5 Minutes North of Belleville off HWY 37 at 852 Harmony Road, Corbyville Ontario K0K1V0

How Does Goat Yoga Work?
———————————————————————–

?Do I need to bring my own Yoga Mat?

Yes. Please bring your own mat or towel to use during class.

?Can I bring family members or friends to take pictures of my class?

No. Unless they are enrolled in the class since we cap each session at 10 people to ensure everyone gets goat time.

?What breed of goats do you have?

We have Pocket Goats, Pigmy Goats, Nigerian Dwarf & a Toggenburg.

?Do the goats poop all over you?

Goats have small pellets, and from time to time they may poop on your mat. It’s not messy and all you have to do is shake off your mat. We have to remember they are not dogs or cats but farm animals and they’re just doing their thing. Nature♡

?Do you force the goats to participate?

No. The goats are not forced to stand on your back or do tricks. The goats genuinely just prefer to be by humans and all they really want is to be pet and fussed over.

?What is Goat Funtime?

Goat Funtime is the time following the class where you get to snuggle goats, take selfies and have some fun with yoga poses with the goats!

?Where are the goats while the class is happening?

The goats will be free to wander and snuggle up next to you.

?Are there refunds?

No refunds unless the class is cancelled due to weather.

?What type of Yoga do you do in the class?

It is a beginner/all-skills level yoga class instructed by Jess & Nate of Creekside Yoga in Stirling.

?How long is the class?

The class is an hour long. Following the class, there will be 30 minutes of goat fun time/feeding, pictures and interaction.

?Do your goats bite or headbutt?

No. They will nibble at your zippers/buttons but they’ve never destroyed anything. They’ve also never headbutted a human before. They just want to be pet and cuddled.

?Is your service safe? Are there any risks?

Yes, the only risk is that you get your clothes a little dirty. Make sure to wear something you don’t mind rubbing up against a goat with!

?Is this a form of Animal-Assisted therapy?

Yes. The focus of this class is not just to take pictures for Instagram (although we know you will). The focus is to combine nature, goats and yoga in order to disconnect from stress. Combining these three things is very therapeutic and works as a positive distraction from whatever you may be going through, whether that be depression, stress, anxiety, disease or anything.

?Are your goats ‘certified therapy goats’?

No. Therapy animals do not need to be certified.

?Will there be snacks and refreshments after class?

Yes.

?Are there restrooms?

No.

?How many spaces per class?

20 spots are available.
