Downtown Favourites: Bay of Quinte Staff Picks – Trevor

Boasting two historic waterfront downtown areas—one within walking distance of our office—we consider ourselves pretty lucky to live in the BoQ. Since we turned the page in the Discovery Guide earlier this week, we have been helping you get to know our team a bit better.

We set aside some time this week to think about our favourite downtown spots to hang out, shop, catch a show or grab a bite.

Downtown Favourites: Bay of Quinte Staff Picks – Trevor

1

The Lark – Truly a world-class cocktail bar in the heart of downtown Belleville. The wine list and local charcuterie is killer! The Lark—run by Belleville duo Alex and Celine—is by far my favourite post-work hangout.

199 Front Street, Belleville

2

The Brake Room – The unofficial local town hall with a better selection of local craft beer than many restaurants. It’s definitely my go-to for a summer work meeting or midday catch up with friends – love it with the big doors open!

34 Dundas Street E, Belleville

3

J&B Books –  If you love collectables—hockey cards, comics, unique collectables, you name it—this is your paradise. It’s also run by the most helpful family you’ll ever meet! A must visit to drop in and nerd out for hours.

97 Dundas Street West, Quinte West

4

Pinnacle Music – As I walk downtown it makes me incredibly happy to see all the kids with guitar cases on the sidewalk heading to their lessons upstairs. In an era where some say rock n’ roll is dead, Pinnacle is keeping the dream alive in the heart of Belleville.

261 Front Street, Belleville

EAT

Chilangos – I can’t believe you can get such high quality Mexican cuisine outside of Mexico! It’s one of my personal faves before doing a bit of shopping or catching a movie in town.

394 Front Street, Belleville
