Downtown Favourites: Bay of Quinte Staff Picks – Courtney

Boasting two historic waterfront downtown areas—one within walking distance of our office—we consider ourselves pretty lucky to live in the BoQ.

Since we turned the page in the Discovery Guide earlier this week, we have been helping you get to know our team a bit better. We set aside some time this week to think about our favourite downtown spots to hang out, shop, catch a show or grab a bite.

Downtown Favourites: Bay of Quinte Staff Picks – Courtney

Empire Theatre – I sang until I was short of breath and laughed so hard I cried at a Barenaked Ladies Show here last fall. I had a seat pretty close to the stage, but there honestly isn’t a bad seat in the house.

321 Front Street, Belleville

lark cocktail bellevilleThe Lark – I’ve made it my personal goal to make it through the entire—very impressive, and delicious—cocktail list. My current recommendation: rose spritz.

199 Front Street, Belleville

Waterfront – Our office is right on the Bay, so on sunny days I make a point to eat my lunch outside by the water and watch the sunbathing turtles.

Belleville or Quinte West—you can’t go wrong!

The Grind – When I meet up for a coffee with friends in Trenton, I like to grab a seat by the window and sip a London Fog (and depending on the day, hit up the farmers’ market next door!).

L'Auberge de France45 Front Street, Trenton

L’Auberge de France – I’m a bread baker at heart and obsessed with French pastries, so this charming bistro-cafe is the obvious choice for me.

304 Front Street, Belleville
