The Belleville Festival of Lights Launch Night will take place on Friday, November 18, at West Zwick’s Park with live music, food truck vendors and fireworks, plus we’ve even heard that there will be a couple of special guests visiting from the North Pole. The Festival of Lights display will run until January 3 in Jane Forrester Park.

Quinte West’s annual Fantasy of Lights returns in both Fraser Park and Frankford Tourist Park. The displays will be lit after the Santa Claus Parades on November 26 and 27, remaining lit until January 1.

Make sure to visit downtown Napanee in the evenings leading up to the holidays to see their spectacular light displays. Every year, they cover the buildings on Dundas St. in 750,000 colourful, twinkling lights for the Big Bright Lights display. Go early to do some holiday shopping before the sun goes down and the lights shine!

From November 17 to December 18, visit the Belleville Downtown District for their signature five-week-long event, Enchanted. Shop from downtown retailers and dine at your favourite restaurants, with some added holiday magic in the air. Take the family ice skating, go on a romantic (free!) carriage ride and take photos with Santa.

The Enchanted Holiday Market will feature new vendors weekly to ensure you find that perfect gift. You can visit them in the holiday huts spread out on Front Street on Thursdays and Fridays from 4-8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Speaking of markets, plan to visit one of the many other markets that are happening around the Bay of Quinte this holiday season. You can visit any of the below holiday markets and craft sales to find unique gifts for everyone in your life — even the one who is hard to shop for.

They are opening on November 24, so make sure to visit their website to stay up-to-date on upcoming details.

Catch The Quinte Symphony on December 10 for their holiday show at Maranatha Church. They’ll be performing nostalgic music from your favourite holiday movies (Home Alone, Polar Express, Miracle on 34th Street), a Charlie Brown Christmas, Beatlecracker Suite and have a sing-along with the Hallelujah Chorus. Grange of Prince Edward Winery, one of our winery partners, is giving you a chance to spoil yourself this holiday season with a Fireside Feast @ Grange of Prince Edward Vineyards & Estate Winery on November 18. There’s a lot going on this holiday season in the Bay of Quinte and it can be pretty tiring keeping up with it all! Wind down at one of our local cafes if you need to pause from the hustle and bustle. Check out this blog to see some of our favourites.
