CRAVING A CONCERT?
One of the things we’ve missed the most over the last couple of years is live music. We just can’t wait to have our toes tappin’ and feel the energy of the audience once again. Here are a few places to catch a great show in the BoQ this summer, whether you’re ready for a festival or prefer a more intimate venue.
BIG SUMMER CONCERT: JULY 2
The City of Quinte West is hosting their first annual Big Summer Concert at the Bob Wannamaker Amphitheatre on July 2 featuring the talented Toronto band, Dwayne Gretzky. Picture this: it’s a warm summer night, you’re movin’ and groovin’ to nostalgic songs, enjoying the fresh air by the bay as the sun starts to go down. We know we’ll be there!
EMPIRE ROCKFEST: JULY 14-16
Empire Rockfest is one of the biggest music events in the Quinte region. After a brief hiatus, this three-night rock festival in Empire Square is returning July 14-16. Headliners this year include TLC, The Headstones and The Glorious Sons.
OLD CHURCH THEATRE: SUMMER SERIES ON THE PATIO

This old church in the country turned intimate performance venue sees Canadian music icons and a wealth of local talent perform year-round. In the summer, they take their shows outside to the patio. While you’re there, you can also enjoy a wood-fired pizza with a cold glass of craft beer or local wine.
FREE WEEKLY CONCERTS
Looking for more live music? Throughout the summer, you can find free concerts in parks across the region. Pack a picnic or grab some local takeout to bring with you for the perfect way to cap off a summer day – just don’t forget a lawn chair or blanket. Check out the free summer concert series in Brighton, Quinte West and Belleville.
