Quinte Health provides a wide range of high quality health care services to 160,000 people living in the Bay of Quinte region. Care is provided through four hospitals – QHC Belleville General Hospital, QHC North Hastings Hospital, QHC Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital and QHC Trenton Memorial Hospital — all with 24-hour-a-day emergency departments.
Lennox & Addington County General Hospital
The Lennox and Addington County General Hospital’s emphasis on General Medicine and General Surgery reflects its role in providing core services. Specialists from Kingston regularly hold clinics at the hospital and the emergency department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Family Health Teams are primary healthcare organizations that include a team of family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, dietitians, and other professionals who work together to provide primary healthcare for their community. They ensure that people receive the care they need in their communities, as each team is set up based on local health and community needs.
Team-based care is provided by an interprofessional collaboration of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, pharmacists, dietitians, chiropractors, and administrative staff. Patients who are registered with the Belleville Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic can access its primary health care services.
