Loyalist College

Loyalist College is a close-knit community where students and their success come first. To prepare students for in-demand careers, Loyalist offers more than 65 full-time programs, apprenticeships and hundreds of online, distance and in-class courses, as well as opportunities for continuing education through more than 70 university transfer agreements. The College’s wide selection of diplomas and certificates aligns with market-driven disciplines including applied sciences, business and management studies, health sciences, justice studies, media, arts and design, and skills and technology.

Public Schools

There are several public elementary and high schools in the Bay of Quinte region that are part of three different school boards, depending on what community they are in.

Hastings & Prince Edward District School Board
Serving: Belleville and Quinte West

Limestone District School Board
Serving: Napanee

Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board
Serving: Murray Ward in Quinte West, Brighton

Catholic SChools

Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board has Catholic elementary and high schools in Belleville, Napanee and Quinte West.

Christian Schools

There are three Christian schools in the Bay of Quinte region:

French Schools

École élémentaire publique Cité Jeunesse aims to be a dynamic and welcoming French-speaking place of learning. Respecting and appreciating differences makes every student and the entire school community feel welcome. All school staff are committed to providing each student with a learning environment conducive to personal and academic success.

École élémentaire catholique L’ENVOL is committed to continuing to focus on winning strategies to promote daily learning, to make students aware of the importance of caring about the environment, physical activity and nutrition, to develop social skills and to help them experience and appreciate Christian values ​​and Franco-Ontarian culture on a daily basis.

Montessori School

The Belleville Montessori School is licensed by the Ministry of Education for children aged 2.5-6 years. Montessori offers a unique combination of a highly structured curriculum and the freedom of the child to choose their own activities. This freedom of choice is fundamental to Montessori, as each child progresses at their own pace and is encouraged to follow their individual path.

Albert College

Albert College, founded in 1857 is Canada’s oldest co-educational, day and boarding school. With over 150 years of experience and excellence in education, Albert College provides an enriched and engaging curriculum for approximately 300 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12

Quinte Ballet School of Canada

Quinte Ballet School of Canada offers a variety of dance classes and arts outreach programs for students in their professional training program and recreation dance programs. Past graduates of the professional training program have gone on to successful careers in both Canadian and international companies.

Provincial Schools

Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf in Belleville is one of the three provincial schools for Deaf students in Ontario, providing instruction for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. American Sign Language (ASL) and English are the primary languages of study and communication.

Sagonaska Demonstration School in Belleville provides a one-year placement program for students diagnosed with a severe learning disability and resource support and consultation services for English district school boards to build capacity in teaching students with learning disabilities.

Continuing Education

Earn your secondary school credits, take an English as a Second Language course or continue your career training through programs available in the Bay of Quinte region.

The Bay of Quinte RMB Land Acknowledgement

The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is committed to acknowledging, appreciating and understanding the Indigenous peoples’ historic connection to this land and to raising awareness by building relationships in collaboration with Indigenous partners and communities. 

We recognize and acknowledge that we are living and working on the traditional territory of the Wendat, Mississauga, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee which includes the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) with whom we work in direct partnership with. 

This partnership focuses on the common goal of celebrating the region with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka who are equal partners within the organization and at the Board of Directors table contributing to the mandate and operations.

This mandate includes listening to, learning from, and collaborating with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka and actively incorporating their culture and heritage into the practice of responsible destination marketing and management of the region.

We understand that this land acknowledgement is only a small step towards the larger process of reparations and reconciliation.
