DESCRIPTION:Join us this Remembrance Week \nSince 2009\, Quilts of Valour – Canada Society (QOVC) has presented quilts over 26\,500 ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members in recognition of their service and commitment to our country. Volunteer quilters from across the nation sew beautiful\, intricate quilts\, paying tribute to past and present CAF members. Quilts presented by QOVC are “a hug from a grateful nation”\, an intimate gesture to pay tribute to the sacrifice ill and injured CAF members have made in service to Canada. \nOn Saturday November 8th the National Air Force Museum of Canada invites you to learn more about QOVC and their incredible work at this year’s Quilts of Valour “Sew Day”. His pieces are unique in style\, minimalistic\, intriguing\, inviting and fired with hand made glazes. These pieces may be found in some of the most prestigious museums and galleries in North America. \nThe realism and luminosity found in Barb McGuey’s oil paintings is spell binding. Barb’s focus is on the natural world through landscapes\, flowers and animals. \nThe Featured Member Artist for this show is Terry Hart. Terry uses natural beeswax that has been heated and applied to a board where it is fused\, carved\, and coaxed into landscapes\, abstracts and city/rural scenes. \nPlease join us for refreshments and meet that Artists at a reception on Saturday Oct. 18th from 2-4 p.m.

Artist remarks at 5 PM. \nFor more than four decades\, Teichert’s luminous paintings\, often described as “visual poetry\,” have captivated critics and collectors on the international stage. Her bold palette\, curated markings\, layered textures and translucent colours coalesce to create remarkable\, almost holographic depth. \nConfluence is defined as a “coming or flowing together\, meeting or gathering at one point.” The title resonates with contemporary artist Alice Teichert as it describes the magical interplay of colour\, form and light evident in each of her deeply evocative compositions. \nThis exhibition presents a superb collection of new paintings produced during the last four years\, alongside works from a recent 40-year survey show that pay homage to the two-page music sheets of the artist’s childhood piano lessons.

His pieces are unique in style\, minimalistic\, intriguing\, inviting and fired with hand made glazes. These pieces may be found in some of the most prestigious museums and galleries in North America. \nThe realism and luminosity found in Barb McGuey’s oil paintings is spell binding. Barb’s focus is on the natural world through landscapes\, flowers and animals. \nThe Featured Member Artist for this show is Terry Hart. DESCRIPTION:FALL SHOW – GALLERY 121 – OCTOBER 7TH – NOV. 15TH\, 2025\nRECEPTION SATURDAY OCT. 18TH\, 2025 \nThe members of Gallery 121 are excited to show of their new works of art alongside those of Kayo O’Young\, a famous potter and a well-known realistic\, artist from Hastings. \nKayo O’Young is recognized as one of Canada’s finest porcelain creators with his works being featured in two films. His pieces are unique in style\, minimalistic\, intriguing\, inviting and fired with hand made glazes. These pieces may be found in some of the most prestigious museums and galleries in North America. \nThe realism and luminosity found in Barb McGuey’s oil paintings is spell binding. Barb’s focus is on the natural world through landscapes\, flowers and animals. \nThe Featured Member Artist for this show is Terry Hart. Terry uses natural beeswax that has been heated and applied to a board where it is fused\, carved\, and coaxed into landscapes\, abstracts and city/rural scenes. \nPlease join us for refreshments and meet that Artists at a reception on Saturday Oct. 18th from 2-4 p.m.
