DESCRIPTION:FALL SHOW – GALLERY 121 – OCTOBER 7TH – NOV. 15TH\, 2025\nRECEPTION SATURDAY OCT. 18TH\, 2025 \nThe members of Gallery 121 are excited to show of their new works of art alongside those of Kayo O’Young\, a famous potter and a well-known realistic\, artist from Hastings. \nKayo O’Young is recognized as one of Canada’s finest porcelain creators with his works being featured in two films. His pieces are unique in style\, minimalistic\, intriguing\, inviting and fired with hand made glazes. These pieces may be found in some of the most prestigious museums and galleries in North America. \nThe realism and luminosity found in Barb McGuey’s oil paintings is spell binding. Barb’s focus is on the natural world through landscapes\, flowers and animals. \nThe Featured Member Artist for this show is Terry Hart. Terry uses natural beeswax that has been heated and applied to a board where it is fused\, carved\, and coaxed into landscapes\, abstracts and city/rural scenes. \nPlease join us for refreshments and meet that Artists at a reception on Saturday Oct. 18th from 2-4 p.m.

At the heart of this festival is the powerful exhibition of De’VIA (which stands for Deaf View/Image Art) at the John M. Parrott Art Gallery. These works affirm Deaf identity\, share lived stories\, and celebrate American Sign Language (ASL) as both a language and a vibrant cultural expression. The exhibition will be on display until October 18th.

DESCRIPTION:Lighthouse burst on the scene in 1969\, with an explosive sound that defied all conventions.\nBack home in Toronto\, their free concerts at Nathan Phillip’s Square attracted up to one hundred thousand people. From 1970 to 1976 Lighthouse toured three hundred days a year across North America with an emphasis on Canadian concerts in the cities\, towns and small hamlets of every province.\nReunited in 1990\, Lighthouse continues to tour regularly featuring original co-founder Paul Hoffert leading an all-star line-up that includes original member Russ Little with Chris Howells\, Simon Wallis\, Michael Stuart\, Doug Moore\, Don Paulton\, Paul DeLong\, Marc Ganetakos\, James Naro and dynamic lead vocalist Dan Clancy.

DESCRIPTION:Following the success of the two previous walks\, join us at 2:30 on Saturday\, October 18\, for another stroll along Bridge Street and its cross-streets to view some more magnificent mansions built in this leafy area in the late 19th century. The commentary will include both architectural notes and stories about some of each house’s inhabitants through the years. \nIn Part 3\, we will meet at the corner of Queen Street and George Street (parking is possible on either street) and take in George Street and John Street. At the end of the walking tour (around 4 pm) attendees will be invited to a local hostelry for refreshment. \nThe Architectural Conservancy of Ontario encourages the conservation and reuse of structures\, districts and landscapes of architectural\, historic and cultural significance\, to inspire and benefit Ontarians. His pieces are unique in style\, minimalistic\, intriguing\, inviting and fired with hand made glazes. These pieces may be found in some of the most prestigious museums and galleries in North America. \nThe realism and luminosity found in Barb McGuey’s oil paintings is spell binding. Barb’s focus is on the natural world through landscapes\, flowers and animals. \nThe Featured Member Artist for this show is Terry Hart.
