DESCRIPTION:EARLY SUMMER SHOW – GALLERY 121 – JUNE 2nd– JULY 11th \nRECEPTION – JUNE 6th\, 2026 \nThe members of Gallery 121 are pleased to present their Early Summer Show\, showcasing Guest Artists Emóke Wilson\, Michael Amar and Featured Member Artist Cara Wilson. \nCara is a multi-dimensional artist\, whose primary medium is acrylic augmented with textural media and found objects. During her years as an international designer Cara absorbed a wide range of style influences and since retiring has embraced mixed media and is a creator of inspired landscape work. Cara has supported her development through local association memberships\, and her paintings have been exhibited widely in the region. \nEmóke Wilson claims that art has been her best friend since childhood. Today she is also a Mixed-Media Artist\, creating expressionistic\, exclusive one-of-a-kind 2D and 3D works that are captured in unconventional works using bold colours\, patterns and textures. \nMichael Amar is a well-known artist in the Hastings and Kingston areas where he has presented both solo and group shows\, including at the Parrott Gallery. Michael is a master of many mediums including\, but not limited to oil\, sculpting\, wood\, copper\, and inks.

DESCRIPTION:Come out as we welcome Chris Gostling onto the Speakeasy stage. \nChris Gostling has been storytelling through songs for nearly 30 years. A multi-instrumentalist based in Eastern Ontario\, his singer / songwriter’s style pays homage to folk\, roots-rock and Americana veins while remaining a unique sonic offering. \nOn October 4th\, 2024 Gostling released his sophomore full length album\, “Forest City Town Country”. Recorded on Wolfe Island in Kingston\, with the musical support of Hugh Christopher Brown\, Jason Mercer\, Liam Cole and Craig “Rocky” Roberts\, the album sonically crosses genres from indie-folk through alt-country soulfulness and beyond. \n“Forest City Town Country” is an evolution of Chris’ songwriting\, and storytelling. He writes about experience\, either personal or from witnessing other people’s lives. From overheard tales through the thin walls in apartment buildings\, to a reflection on a last family vacation as a kid\, to the concept of enduring grief and the seasons that we seem to feel it the most\, these songs start as catharsis and become a shared experience when played for others. \nIndulge yourself in our portfolio of delicious by the glass and wine bar eats as you enjoy an entertaining evening. \nWalk-ins are welcome as space allows.
