Theatre in The Wings celebrates Pride Month with five thought-provoking short plays:
Four (Very) Short Plays by Carolyn Gage: “Black Eye”, “52-Pickup”, “At Sea”, and “The Ladies’ Room”
Carolyn Gage is the author of twelve books and more than eighty-eight plays, including musicals, one-acts, one-woman shows, adaptations, and dramas. The winner of numerous awards, her work is widely published and performed. She tours in her own shows, offering lectures and workshops on lesbian culture and history.
“The Allies Are Coming”: a semi-autobiographical one-act comedy by Peter Paylor, directed by Candace Meeks
Allies come in all shapes, sizes, ages, and backgrounds. In his usual comic style, Peter brings the unique perspective of a white, male, cisgender, heterosexual senior citizen, a loving parent and ally, who’s facing a much different world than the one he grew up in.
