Sound Bath Meditation

April 16 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$39.55

Have you ever noticed the effect that sounds have on your body? If we close our eyes and even imagine the sounds of a busy city street, our bodies tighten. When we imagine the sounds of a calm forest or body of water, our bodies relax. Sound is a powerful tool that we are only just beginning to understand with regard to wellness, but we can trust what our bodies tell us. Our bodies are always listening. Can you remember hearing a tone or sound that struck a chord deep within your body and felt good? This is resonance. Let’s explore your resonance together with the help of the crystal singing bowls.

Join Stef Bourke, Alignment Coach and sound explorer, for this deeply restorative sound bath meditation. Participants will settle into nests of their own creation (props and yoga mats are provided) and will be led through a 75-minute blend of meditative guidance, spoken word, crystal bowls and voice.

Basic props are provided, but feel free to bring your own comfort items from home and a journal should you find you want to write things down.

The Bay of Quinte RMB Land Acknowledgement

The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is committed to acknowledging, appreciating and understanding the Indigenous Peoples’ historic connection to this land and to raising awareness by building relationships in collaboration with Indigenous partners and communities.

We recognize and acknowledge that we are living and working on the traditional territory of the Wendat, Mississaugas, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee which includes the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) with whom we work in direct partnership with.

This partnership focuses on the common goal of celebrating the region with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka who are equal partners within the organization and at the Board of Directors table contributing to the mandate and operations.

This mandate includes listening to, learning from, and collaborating with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka and actively incorporating their culture and heritage into the practice of responsible destination marketing and management of the region.

We understand that this land acknowledgement is only a small step towards the larger process of reparations and reconciliation.
