Belleville’s very popular acoustic musical variety show, will launch its 10th season, Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Pinnacle Playhouse. Our first event will offer the Belleville audience something unique! Instead of an evening of various local artists, we will offer an opportunity to spend an evening with Joe Callahan who moved to Saskatchewan a couple of years ago. We will turn the stage over to him to highlight some of the music he has been working on since he left Belleville.
Rubbin’ Elbows, Alexandra Bell and Nathan Mahaffy, will be on hand to host the evening and offer their own special brand of music to kick off the concert with Joe Callahan.
Over those 10 years, NKT has hosted about a 1000 shows on the Pinnacle Playhouse Stage featuring novice performers as well as professionals. The concept is quite simple: 12 performers are invited to show up for a sound check an hour before the show opens at 7:30pm. Each get 5 minutes or one song/poem on stage with a Feature Act that gets 3 opportunities to entertain the always enthusiastic NKT audience members.
As Joe said at the first organizational meeting in 2014, “I’ve always thought that the Pinnacle Playhouse would be a great place for live, local music, so when Gary Magwood, (the creator of NKT) suggested the idea, I was quick to jump on board.” Dates for the 10th season: January 13, March 2, May 11
and June 29. Summer and fall dates are to be announced. $10 admission gets a seat to see and hear a diverse group of performers present their songs, poetry, music and stories.

The Bay of Quinte RMB Land Acknowledgement
The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is committed to acknowledging, appreciating and understanding the Indigenous peoples’ historic connection to this land and to raising awareness by building relationships in collaboration with Indigenous partners and communities.
We recognize and acknowledge that we are living and working on the traditional territory of the Wendat, Mississauga, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee which includes the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) with whom we work in direct partnership with.
This partnership focuses on the common goal of celebrating the region with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka who are equal partners within the organization and at the Board of Directors table contributing to the mandate and operations.
This mandate includes listening to, learning from, and collaborating with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka and actively incorporating their culture and heritage into the practice of responsible destination marketing and management of the region.
We understand that this land acknowledgement is only a small step towards the larger process of reparations and reconciliation.
