LET’S GO! FALL HIKE SERIES #3: SAGER LOOKOUT

October 18 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Free

We’re finishing off our Fall Hike Series with a short hike and a BIG view!

Sager is only about a 1 km hike, but don’t let the distance fool you; we’ll be climbing up the hill and then another 48 steps to the top of the lookout tower!

At the top, we’ll hopefully be treated to an amazing panoramic view of the fall colours across the Trent River Valley.

THE DETAILS
Sunday, October 18
10:00 AM
Sager Conservation Area, 30 Golf Course Rd., Quinte West
Approx. 1 km
Short but steep, lots of stairs!
Not stroller friendly. A carrier is recommended for little ones.
We’ll meet in the parking area and head up together at 10!

MAKE A FALL MORNING OF IT! Since this hike is a shorter one, why not keep the fall adventure going afterward?
– You could head over to Grills Orchards for some apple-orchard fun or stop at Old Bank Café in Frankford for a coffee or lunch. These aren’t organized parts of our hike – just a couple of ideas if you want to keep exploring afterward!

FREE to join.

The Bay of Quinte RMB Land Acknowledgement

The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is committed to acknowledging, appreciating and understanding the Indigenous Peoples’ historic connection to this land and to raising awareness by building relationships in collaboration with Indigenous partners and communities.

We recognize and acknowledge that we are living and working on the traditional territory of the Wendat, Mississaugas, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee which includes the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) with whom we work in direct partnership with.

This partnership focuses on the common goal of celebrating the region with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka who are equal partners within the organization and at the Board of Directors table contributing to the mandate and operations.

This mandate includes listening to, learning from, and collaborating with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka and actively incorporating their culture and heritage into the practice of responsible destination marketing and management of the region.

We understand that this land acknowledgement is only a small step towards the larger process of reparations and reconciliation.
