Late Summer Show at Gallery 121
August 25th- October 3rd
Reception Saturday August 29th 2 – 4 p.m.

For many reasons the Members of Gallery 121 are excited to present our upcoming Late Summer Show!

Our Featured Member Artist is the Late Bunny Bates; a familiar name to those of you who have visited the Gallery over the years, and I am certain that you will be as excited as we are to see her works hanging on our walls once again.

Sadly, Bunny passed away just over two years ago. She was one of the founding members of Gallery 121 and a multiple award winner for both her sculptures and paintings.

Our Guest Artist for this show is joining us from Haliburton. Stephanie Katrina is a is mixed media and collage artist who has taken multiple courses and workshops to refine her craft. You will be delighted to view her paintings which celebrate joy, luminosity and textures, often in layered collages that are inspired by the world and energy of nature; some of which have received international recognition.

Please join us at our upcoming reception to view the works of these artists and that of our eclectic group of Member Artists.

The Bay of Quinte RMB Land Acknowledgement

The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is committed to acknowledging, appreciating and understanding the Indigenous Peoples’ historic connection to this land and to raising awareness by building relationships in collaboration with Indigenous partners and communities.

We recognize and acknowledge that we are living and working on the traditional territory of the Wendat, Mississaugas, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee which includes the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) with whom we work in direct partnership with.

This partnership focuses on the common goal of celebrating the region with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka who are equal partners within the organization and at the Board of Directors table contributing to the mandate and operations.

This mandate includes listening to, learning from, and collaborating with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka and actively incorporating their culture and heritage into the practice of responsible destination marketing and management of the region.

We understand that this land acknowledgement is only a small step towards the larger process of reparations and reconciliation.
