Greater Napanee Pride Day 2024

Greater Napanee Pride has announced its lineup and event details for Pride 2024, which is set to be its biggest celebration yet. Scheduled for Saturday, Jun. 1, 2024, this year’s event promises an array of activities, performances, and community engagements that highlight the diversity and spirit of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, according to a release from the organization. Taking place in Conservation Park from 12 to 4 p.m., Pride in the Park will feature food, vendors, children’s activities, and a full schedule of musical acts. The Napanee Legion will be hold a fundraising barbeque, so bring some cash. Later, Pride in the Country will take over the Strathcona Paper Centre Banquet Hall with dancing and drag.

Date: June 1st, 2024
 Location: Conservation Park
Transit: Accessible bus every hour from 10 AM to 4 PM between Strathcona Paper Centre and Conservation Park.
Parade: Meet at Conservation Park for 10:30 AM for the parade along the scenic waterfront trail
Pride in the Park (12:00 PM – 4:00 PM):
Vendors: Explore an array of businesses and organizations

Food:  Napanee Legion Fundraising BBQ, Nonna’s Famous Pizza Community Loving Team, Mr. Jerry’s, and The Lodge Coffee House
Children’s Activities: Bouncy castle, pony rides, and more fun
Stage A:

The Bay of Quinte RMB Land Acknowledgement

The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is committed to acknowledging, appreciating and understanding the Indigenous peoples’ historic connection to this land and to raising awareness by building relationships in collaboration with Indigenous partners and communities. 

We recognize and acknowledge that we are living and working on the traditional territory of the Wendat, Mississauga, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee which includes the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) with whom we work in direct partnership with. 

This partnership focuses on the common goal of celebrating the region with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka who are equal partners within the organization and at the Board of Directors table contributing to the mandate and operations.

This mandate includes listening to, learning from, and collaborating with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka and actively incorporating their culture and heritage into the practice of responsible destination marketing and management of the region.

We understand that this land acknowledgement is only a small step towards the larger process of reparations and reconciliation.
