Wild Birds Unlimited and Kingston 4 Paws Father’s Day Event

Belleville ON –Wild Birds Unlimited Nature Shop at 170 North Front Street in Belleville will be hosting a fundraising event for Kingston 4 Paws on Saturday, June 15 at 2 PM.

Wild Birds Unlimited Nature Shop will be holding a Father’s Day sale, complete with fun events and treats, on June 15 and 16. In addition to offering great bird-related products, they will be hosting a meet-and-greet with live service dogs from Kingston 4 Paws. Arthur and Marshall, two of the dogs, along with their human companions, will be visiting the store to answer questions and showcase their skills. A portion of sales, on June 15 will be donated to Kingston 4 Paws.

Wild Birds Unlimited carries a variety of seeds and seed blends that have been specially formulated to attract birds in the Quinte region. Seed blends are mixtures of seeds and nuts that numerous birds will eat. Seed is delivered weekly, so customers get only the freshest bird food possible. In addition, they carry bird feeders, bird houses, and specialty garden and gift items not found elsewhere.

Kingston 4 Paws is a not-for-profit which provides trained service dogs and continued handling support to physically and emotionally challenged persons and their families, assisting them to become more independent in their Southeastern Ontario communities.

The Bay of Quinte RMB Land Acknowledgement

The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is committed to acknowledging, appreciating and understanding the Indigenous peoples’ historic connection to this land and to raising awareness by building relationships in collaboration with Indigenous partners and communities. 

We recognize and acknowledge that we are living and working on the traditional territory of the Wendat, Mississauga, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee which includes the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) with whom we work in direct partnership with. 

This partnership focuses on the common goal of celebrating the region with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka who are equal partners within the organization and at the Board of Directors table contributing to the mandate and operations.

This mandate includes listening to, learning from, and collaborating with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka and actively incorporating their culture and heritage into the practice of responsible destination marketing and management of the region.

We understand that this land acknowledgement is only a small step towards the larger process of reparations and reconciliation.
