Canada Day in Greater Napanee

July 1 @ 7:00 am - 10:30 pm

Activities will be happening throughout the day beginning at 7:00 am and wrap up with fireworks around 10:00 pm!

  • 7:00am – 10:00am – Firefighters pancake breakfast ($)
  • 9:00am – 3:00pm – Napanee Valley Cruisers Show N’ Shine Car Show
  • 6:00pm – 8:00pm – Pony rides by The Party Ponies ($)
  • 6:00pm – 8:00pm – Face painting by First Impressions By Danielle
  • 6:00pm – 8:00pm – Balloon art by Just Jess
  • 6:00pm – 9:00pm – Family yard games
  • 7:00pm – 10:00pm – Music by DJ Digital Mike
  • 8:00pm – Free popcorn, cotton candy, and cookies until the fireworks begin or while supplies last
  • 10:00 pm – Fireworks

Big D’s Canteen will be open in the afternoon and evening. Items with a dollar sign will require a fee to participate.

What to bring: Cash for pony rides and Big D’s Canteen, lawn chairs, and bug spray for the evening.

The Bay of Quinte RMB Land Acknowledgement

The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is committed to acknowledging, appreciating and understanding the Indigenous peoples’ historic connection to this land and to raising awareness by building relationships in collaboration with Indigenous partners and communities. 

We recognize and acknowledge that we are living and working on the traditional territory of the Wendat, Mississauga, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee which includes the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) with whom we work in direct partnership with. 

This partnership focuses on the common goal of celebrating the region with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka who are equal partners within the organization and at the Board of Directors table contributing to the mandate and operations.

This mandate includes listening to, learning from, and collaborating with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka and actively incorporating their culture and heritage into the practice of responsible destination marketing and management of the region.

We understand that this land acknowledgement is only a small step towards the larger process of reparations and reconciliation.
