Be an Aviator: Family Day 2026

February 16 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

ATTENTION FUTURE AVIATORS!

The skies are calling! Do you have what it takes to fly, lead, and serve? On Family Day, young recruits and their families will march through the National Air Force Museum of Canada on a mission to earn their wings, tackling hands-on challenges inspired by the proud legacy of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). From past heroes to future aviators, discover what it takes to Be an Aviator.

This Family Day (Monday, February 16th), join us at the NAFMC for our Be An Aviator Program. Participants will earn their wings by completing hands-on challenges inspired by RCAF training methods of the Second World War, including:

• Wireless School (Morse Code)
• Air Navigation School (Constellations)
• Flight Training
• Civilian Defence and Air Corps (Aircraft Identification)
• Flight Engineer School (Circuits)

Discovery Stations throughout the Museum encourage participants to explore the history of the RCAF:

• Uniform Dress Up
• Artifact Table
• Board Games
• Engines
• Aircraft Materials

Activities are available from 10:00am to 3:00pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is by donation.
