The Bay of Quinte region is quickly becoming Ontario’s best golf destination, with thousands booking Bay of Quinte golf packages each year. It’s no wonder—Score Golf Magazine agrees, praising the region for its combination of value, course quality, and convenience.
The region boasts 12 courses in total, including the “Big Four”: Black Bear Ridge (one of Score Golf’s Top 59 courses in Canada), Trillium Wood (a Golfer’s Choice top hidden gem), Timber Ridge (voted 10th best value course in Canada by Score Golf), and Bay of Quinte Golf Club, now expanded to 27 holes and also home to Nineteen Restaurant.

With exceptional quality, value, and variety—and less that a two-hour drive from Toronto—it’s no wonder the Bay of Quinte is earning a name as Ontario’s best golf destination.
Established in 1921, Bay of Quinte Golf and Country Club is one of Canada’s oldest courses—and now home to its newest. With nine new holes opened in 2024 and more on the way in 2025, BQGCC offers a unique 29-hole layout, including a modern 18-hole routing with two extra bonus holes. The blend of heritage and innovation shines through diverse hole designs, undulating greens, and a mix of classic and contemporary play. On-site Stay-and-Play units for groups of 12 or 24 include full kitchens, private patios, and perks like advanced tee times and custom dining—making your Bay of Quinte golf package a one-of-a-kind golf getaway.
Opened in 2005, Black Bear Ridge quickly gained acclaim as one of North America’s top new courses. The Magee Championship Course offers a classic parkland layout with dramatic vistas, natural water features, and top-tier conditioning across six sets of tees. Ranked the #1 public course in Eastern Ontario by SCOREGolf, it’s also home to a 9-hole Academy Short Course—an approachable, par-3 layout perfect for beginners, families, or a quick “emergency 9.” Stay & Play in one of their three luxury homes just steps from the first tee, designed for groups of 2 to 40 for a laidback, designer-curated Bay of Quinte golf package.
Located in the beautiful, remote setting of Brighton, Ontario, Timber Ridge is often referred to as a hidden gem in the golf world. This unique course offers a blend of links and parkland-style holes and is known for its rolling hills, breathtaking views, and—perhaps most notably—its wildly undulating greens. Fresh off a complete renovation of its more than seventy bunkers, Timber Ridge is a must-play for the avid golfer looking to experience premium golf in the Bay of Quinte region.
Trillium Wood Golf Club offers a scenic and inviting layout, with mature trees, rolling bentgrass fairways, elevated tees, and large greens framed by ponds and bunkers. The 18-hole course feels timeless—both in design and atmosphere. With multiple tee options, it suits all levels while still offering a strong test for seasoned players. Known for hosting top amateur tournaments, Trillium also shines for its close-knit, welcoming community where lasting connections are built on and off the course.
