Bayside Secondary School Alumni to host Homecoming in the Fall of 2024

Bayside Secondary School Alumni Association is happy to announce it will be hosting a Homecoming 2024 event for Bayside Alumni on September 21st, 2024.

Open to all Bayside alumni, the event will include free activities and tours at Bayside Secondary School during the day. Lunch can be purchased from Binge Box and Pink Funnel food trucks. The party will then continue at the Ramada Inn by Wyndham in Belleville with a ticketed cocktail meet and greet from 7 – 9 p.m., followed by dancing until 1 a.m. with radio personality and DJ Scotty Lalonde. A late-night buffet provided by renowned caterers Occasions by the Bay will be included. Tickets are $85.00 each.

The doors at Bayside Secondary School will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m., with an opening ceremony at 10:00 a.m. Activities will continue throughout the day. Later that evening, ticket holders will reconvene at the Ramada to continue the festivities. The open house at the school is open to everyone, however, due to capacity limits at the Ramada by Wyndham, there are a limited number of tickets available for the evening event.

The Bay of Quinte RMB Land Acknowledgement

The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is committed to acknowledging, appreciating and understanding the Indigenous peoples’ historic connection to this land and to raising awareness by building relationships in collaboration with Indigenous partners and communities.

We recognize and acknowledge that we are living and working on the traditional territory of the Wendat, Mississauga, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee which includes the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) with whom we work in direct partnership with.

This partnership focuses on the common goal of celebrating the region with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka who are equal partners within the organization and at the Board of Directors table contributing to the mandate and operations.

This mandate includes listening to, learning from, and collaborating with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka and actively incorporating their culture and heritage into the practice of responsible destination marketing and management of the region.

We understand that this land acknowledgement is only a small step towards the larger process of reparations and reconciliation.
