From acorns to sumac, wild colours are all around us in Quinte West. Join us at the Quinte West Pop-ups at Centennial Park on Saturday, August 15th at 12 PM to learn all about wildcrafted inks — and try painting with plants yourself!
No art skills or green thumbs needed to enjoy this FREE workshop, just a curiosity about the natural world and the rich colours hiding in the trees, flowers, bark and berries around us. Learn about historic oak gall ink, and the wasp who makes it possible. Explore DIY drawing charcoal, and how to turn invasive plants and berries into something beautiful!
Participants will have both open and guided time to work with sample natural inks and take home a plant painting of their own.
