Summer Show Gallery 121

July 14 - August 22

Free

The members of Gallery 121 are delighted to invite you to their Summer Show, featuring guest artists Liz Schell and Claudia MacDonald, along with featured member artist Elizabeth Dinkel.

Elizabeth Dinkel is primarily a portrait artist; her work includes people, animals, and landscapes and reflects a strong ability to capture both the human figure and the natural world with passion and realism.

Liz Schell has been a popular featured artist at Gallery 121, drawing returning collectors to view her newest work. Whether showcasing a distinctive jewellery piece, an acrylic painting, or one of her well-known handmade artist dolls, Liz’s work conveys joy, craftsmanship, and close attention to detail.

Claudia MacDonald’s acrylic landscapes are filled with motion and colour, reflecting art pieces that come from the heart. Her focus is on feeling rather than representation. Colour, movement, and form emerge organically and invites viewers to bring an emotional interpretation to each piece.

Please join us on July 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. for a reception with the artists and members of Gallery 121.

The Bay of Quinte RMB Land Acknowledgement

The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is committed to acknowledging, appreciating and understanding the Indigenous Peoples’ historic connection to this land and to raising awareness by building relationships in collaboration with Indigenous partners and communities.

We recognize and acknowledge that we are living and working on the traditional territory of the Wendat, Mississaugas, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee which includes the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) with whom we work in direct partnership with.

This partnership focuses on the common goal of celebrating the region with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka who are equal partners within the organization and at the Board of Directors table contributing to the mandate and operations.

This mandate includes listening to, learning from, and collaborating with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka and actively incorporating their culture and heritage into the practice of responsible destination marketing and management of the region.

We understand that this land acknowledgement is only a small step towards the larger process of reparations and reconciliation.
