Agritourism in the Bay of Quinte

AGRITOURISM

Explore the rural side of the Bay of Quinte region through immersive experiences that bring you closer to local farms, food, and the landscapes that shape them. Spend a day apple picking, wandering flower fields (Wynn Farms is home to Ontario’s longest-blooming sunflower fields!), navigating corn mazes, or browsing farm stands and markets filled with fresh, seasonal goods. This page is your guide to farms and markets across the region that invite you to slow down and take in the season at a different pace.

IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES

The way we travel is changing, and so is the relationship between visitors and their destinations. Experiential tourism seeks to connect visitors to the local stories that are the heart of the region. These experiences are immersive by nature; they teach and inform, allow opportunities for participation and interaction, and ultimately leave participants with something unique to take away.

ONTARIO'S BEST OUTDOOR DESTINATION

In the Bay of Quinte, nature is never far. With easy access to trails, beaches, parks, and open water, getting outside is as simple as stepping out the door. Cycle through quiet backroads, paddle along the shoreline, spend the day fishing or geocaching, or post up on a sunny patio.

The Bay of Quinte RMB Land Acknowledgement

The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is committed to acknowledging, appreciating and understanding the Indigenous Peoples’ historic connection to this land and to raising awareness by building relationships in collaboration with Indigenous partners and communities.

We recognize and acknowledge that we are living and working on the traditional territory of the Wendat, Mississaugas, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee which includes the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) with whom we work in direct partnership with.

This partnership focuses on the common goal of celebrating the region with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka who are equal partners within the organization and at the Board of Directors table contributing to the mandate and operations.

This mandate includes listening to, learning from, and collaborating with the Kenhtè:ke Kanyen’kehá:ka and actively incorporating their culture and heritage into the practice of responsible destination marketing and management of the region.

We understand that this land acknowledgement is only a small step towards the larger process of reparations and reconciliation.
