November Fishing Update: Fall Walleye Migration is Underway

Although the Bay offers year-round fishing opportunities with a variety of species available, my favourite time to get out there is during the fall walleye migration. This is the time of year the Lake-Ontario-grown giants are roaming and feeding up in the Bay where they will eventually spawn in spring.

I’m trolling and sending my lures down between 18-30 feet below the surface over various water depths, set back a ways out from my boat using planer boards. A few hot lures so far have included: the Berkley Flicker Minnow, the Rapala Jointed Deep Husky Jerk and the Deep Tail Dancer.
