We are raising our glasses to the City of Quinte West and Empire Productions in anticipation of another great lineup of breweries for Hops on the Water 2018! Hops on the Water returns for its second year on Saturday, April 21 after the huge success of its inaugural event in 2017. Last April, thousands of people flocked to the Quinte West Farmers’ Market to grab a craft brew poured by the brewmasters themselves.
There is something for everyone at this fun-filled festival from family-friendly entertainment, live music, buskers and food vendors, though the beers and ciders (and the brewers pouring them) are the main attraction. And if all of this isn’t tempting enough, the first 1500 people through the gate will receive a custom Quinte West Hops on the Water glass! You can count us in.
After a bitterly cold winter we’re looking forward to getting back outside again, standing steps from the water while sipping the unique flavours from 13 different craft brewers and distillers! We can’t wait to sample all of the locally made beer and cider from the vendors at this year’s festival, including:
… and more to come!
With more than 22 brewing and cider companies bound together under the Quinte Craft banner, there are so many unique stories to be uncovered behind each of them! Follow along over the next two weeks as we go behind the scenes and give you the inside scoop on two local reasons to head to this year’s festival: Signal Brewing Company and Wild Card Brewing Company! Keep an eye out for blog posts coming over the next week to learn more about these breweries and find out why you won’t want to miss out on this incredible day in the heart of downtown Trenton.
For those who need to grab a meal or just a snack to power through the day, there will be a great variety of local chefs and growers serving up delicious fare. Save room for food from these incredible vendors:
