The afternoon boat trip includes a scenic cruise up the Bay of Quinte to Belleville and back from 1:00 – 4:00 pm in the afternoon. In the evening, the sunset cruise will include wine and cheese pairings by Sandbanks Winery and Saputo Cheese to the music of Cold Creek County, a local band that has recently been signed on by Sony Records. The cruise will dock back in Trenton in time for the fireworks. Tickets for both cruises are selling out fast
The Dragon Boat Festival, Saturday July 18
The Trenton Rowing and Paddling Club are hosting their first annual Trenton Dragon Boat Festival all day Saturday on the Trent River between the bridges from 10 am – 4 pm. Already eighteen teams are registered and funds raised from the event will go to the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.
The Big Band Festival Saturday and Sunday July 18 & 19
The two day Trenton Big Band Festival “In The Mood” kicks off Saturday afternoon with two free concerts, perennial favourites The Commodores at the Trenton Port Marina, from 2 – 4 pm and The Swing Masters will have everyone dancing under the stars from 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm in Riverfront Square.
Although Festival on the Bay closes Saturday, the fourth annual Big Band Festival makes staying over one more day well worthwhile with their Sunday afternoon concert in the Centennial Park Amphitheatre. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the gate at noon. Three dance bands will be performing: Toronto All Star Big Band, The Ragweed Jazz Band and The Brian Barlow Big Band.
A perfect summer weekend in Quinte West.
