For many fish species, springtime means stacking up and feeding leading up to spawning. Common carp are no exception and there’s an abundance of them on the Bay. You’ll often spot them in the shallows this time of year or even jumping clean out of the water in what sounds like a human belly flop.
Carp are one of the largest and hardest fighting fish that we have access to. They’re open year-round and are highly underrated. Gearing up properly will help increase your odds of landing this large-and-in-charge fish and there’s a good chance it could be the biggest catch of your life!
